TIB #18
TIB #17 seems to have been a toughie. We received brickbats and curses from all over. The pick of the lot came from Aruna -
A: Have you been under the weather lately?
TIB: No why?
A: Because I’ve been cursing you since last Sunday for a devilishly difficult TIB #17.
Hopefully this time’s TIB is a little easier

Did I or didn’t I leave a comment #17? I don’t keep a copy as I print out 2-4 crosswords a day and these pile- up quickly.

Got the composite anagrams now, hurray!
13 Is famished terribly, fed this dish (7) [IS + FAMISHED]* = [FED + SASHIMI]*
21 One with a nest broken has no parent (6) [ORPHAN + A + NEST]* = [HAS NO PARENT]*
Well-tried, and the equations with the anagram fodder are great finds. The clues need to indicate the composite anagrams more strongly, I think, like in the examples from your last post and its linked article. Here the quirk that [solution] + X = [anagram fodder] didn’t come out clearly, especially in 13A.
Full marks for the brave attempt!
